Brief De_script_ion: Main Fuselage Section


The red dots that are on the aluminum tubes are used for reference and will point inwardly when assembling the fuselage.

The holes are drilled for the sail attachment plates but you may have to ream the holes a bit in order to get the rivit to fit in perfectly. On vertical sail attachment plates, note the 2 holes close in order to make sure it is put on correctly. Pay close attention to orientation and double check before riveting.

Forgot to get a picture of the main fuselage section. This is shown in this picture in the rear part of picture 3.

See page 25 for furthor notes on the angle of the top bar on the main fuselage assembly. The holes for installing the parachute support strut is subtly different Might possibly defer installing the top sail attachment plates (item No. 12) until after you have the parachute support strut installed. We didn't get it in the correct direction and had to drill out the rivets in order to move the top sail attachment plates because the angle was wrong for the bolt at the top of the parachute support strut.
